A Poor Bargain

Stephanie Jean Came, 21, thought the man she met at a coffee shop in St. Cloud, Fla., was the sort who’d kill her boyfriend for money. She couldn’t afford the price, so she asked for an alternative service: would he merely cripple the man for $1,000? And please leave him “scarred up,” she said. Came offered half up front, and the rest when her boyfriend was paralyzed from the neck down. The man she tried to hire was, as typical in such cases, an undercover cop. Came now sits in the Osceola County Jail charged with solicitation to commit aggravated battery, and she definitely can’t afford the $3,500 bail. And what of Came’s ex-boyfriend? He’s also in the Osceola County Jail, facing a charge of aggravated battery. (AC/Orlando Sentinel) ...The question is, does this prove they were well matched, or badly matched?
