A Rash Decision

“It was stupid and I shouldn’t have done it,” admits Jeffery G. Rash, 51, of Union, S.C. He had gone to the hospital for treatment of an illness, and naturally took a bomb with him. As a felon with convictions for burglary and grand larceny, Rash isn’t allowed to possess firearms. “People will break into your house and kill you to steal some change,” he explained. “I felt like I had to do something to arm myself and defend my property.” Hence the bomb, though in retrospect maybe that was a bad idea. A nurse was suspicious of his behavior and how he clutched his bag, and an off-duty sheriff’s deputy at the hospital looked in the bag and found a pipe bomb. Other deputies searched Rash’s house and found six pipe bombs in his dresser. “I sincerely apologize to everyone at [the hospital] and the Union County Sheriff’s Office,” Rash said, but he was still charged with possession of an explosive device. (RC/WSPA Spartanburg) ...Stupid? Sure. But look at his quotes: he has knowledge about all those topics, and he’s right about every one of them.
