Alien Concept

“As soon as we told them women were going to be topless they denied us a permit,” complains Diane Brisebois, coordinator of the GoTopless event planned for a park in Toronto, Ont., Canada. “They said I was utilizing the facility without being properly attired. We just want to be at the beach topless.” According to an Ontario appeals court ruling in the 1990s, women are allowed to be topless in public, under the theory that under equal rights, women should be able to be shirtless anywhere a man would be allowed to be shirtless. The events are sponsored by the Raelian Movement, founded in 1974 by “Rael” (formerly known as French journalist Claude Vorilhon), who says he was abducted by UFOs and told life on Earth was created by space aliens.
