Another Nominee for Mother of the Year

Michelle L. Tourma, 41, was driving her 19-year-old daughter, Emily, to her job at a fast food restaurant in Perkins Township, Ohio, when Emily asked her to stop at the Walmart. Michelle said she wouldn’t wait, so Emily would have to walk from there. When Emily got out of the car, she hit the car’s hood with her hand. Her mother claimed she tried to drive the car close enough to her daughter to “smack her in the head,” but ended up driving over Emily’s foot. Security cameras showed Emily was “rolling around on the ground” in pain, while items she’d been holding scattered behind the car. Her mother got out and started retrieving the items instead of tending to her daughter. Police took Emily for medical attention, and found no bones were broken. “If you ask me,” Emily’s 17-year-old brother Joseph told police, “it wasn’t an accident.” Michelle Tourma was charged with aggravated vehicular assault and domestic violence. (JW/Lorain Morning Journal) ...So Emily’s brother threw their Mom under the bus?
