Back Panes

“It’s been a pretty exciting day,” said Tammy Hatley, an assistant at Lakewood Chiropractic in Wichita, Kan. An older patient parking her car hit the accelerator instead of the brake, and smashed through the office’s front window. Hatley was in with one of the doctors, she said, “and Bam! It was just a big explosion.” The reception desk was destroyed. “Two more steps and it would have smashed me.” After everything was cleaned up, the office continued to see patients. Less than five hours after the crash, another elderly patient, this time a man, crashed into the just-replaced window. “It was just scary,” Hatley said, “because you just don’t expect that.” (RC/Wichita Eagle) ...Well, not the first time, anyway.
