Becoming Alarmed II

An airline passenger was detained in Los Angeles, Calif., after boarding a plane at New York’s JFK airport. Olajide Oluwaseun Noibi was allowed through security after showing an expired student ID card and a stolen boarding pass dated the day before. Noibi is not a U.S. citizen; he told TSA he had lost his passport. TSA screeners waved him through, and Virgin America allowed him to board the flight. He was not arrested until he tried to fly out of Los Angeles to Atlanta, Ga., a few days later. He was again within the security perimeter, but Delta Airlines denied him boarding because he did not have a valid ticket. When searched, Noibi had 10 boarding passes on him, the FBI says, including one he allegedly pickpocketed from another passenger to get to L.A. “It is important to note that this passenger was subject to the same physical screening at the checkpoint as other passengers,” a TSA spokesman said. (RC/ABC) ...Maybe they should be trained to understand the point of screening isn’t to do the screening, but to prohibit unauthorized people inside.
