Bird Brain II

When police in Northborough, Mass., spotted a car driving erratically, they gave chase. The car eventually stopped and the driver jumped out, hopped a guardrail, and ran into the woods. Police followed the man’s tracks in the snow until they found Troy Prockett, 37, perched in a tree. When asked to come down, Prockett refused with “very slurred speech.” He then “asked if we had caught the guy who was driving and climbed higher in the tree,” police say. When it was pointed out that there was only one set of tracks leading from the car to the tree, Prockett allegedly said the driver had carried him there. Prockett then “continued speaking about what a good guy he was and rambling on about being an owl.” Prockett refused to climb down “and instead climbed even higher, shaking the branches and saying, ‘Look, it’s snowing.’” Eventually, firefighters used a bucket truck to lift an officer 30 feet into the air to reach Prockett and arrest him. He faces multiple charges, including third offense drunk driving. (MS/Framingham MetroWest Daily News) ...He didn’t actually say he was an owl, it’s just that when they asked where the “other guy” was, he kept saying, “Who?”
