Blunder down Under

Police allege that a man approached a car in a parking lot in Geelong, Vic., Australia, and held up the 22-year-old driver. The man allegedly held a knife to the driver’s throat and demanded she give him the vehicle. Then the man — aged 64 — allegedly put his walker in the car, drove a short distance, and got out to load in other bags. The shocked woman called police. When officers arrived, he was still loading the bags. He was arrested and charged with one count of armed robbery. Geelong Senior Constable Paul Mitchell described the case as “the most bizarre incident” he had encountered on the job. (MS/Geelong Advertiser) ...At least his new accommodations will cost less than a nursing home.
