Brethren! Lend Me Your Ears!

After a church service in Palmerston North, New Zealand, parishioner Ateliana Lei Malu, 52, stood up before the other members and berated them for leaving dirty dishes in the church kitchen. She then “apologized to the group,” a prosecutor says, “then walked over and grabbed [a man] by the hair.” Apparently she thought he was the most culpable, since she scratched his face, elbowed him in the face and, as other churchgoers pulled her off of him, bit off his earlobe. Malu has pleaded guilty to assault with intent to injure. (RC/Manawatu Standard) ...It’s just a guess, but that’s probably not the first time she has chewed their ears off.
