Bumper Cars

After David Warner, 36, won the demolition derby at the Jessamine County (Ky.) Fair, police moved in and arrested him, alleging he was driving drunk. “The young man has no future here as far as events,” declared Fair Board president Jay Bruner. “He will not be allowed to participate in any event on these fairgrounds.” But Warner disputes the charge. “I’m not denying I wasn’t drinking by no means,” he said later, “but I was not drunk. I was under the limit.” He said he just had a “few beers” to “loosen me up” before the race, and “I will fight” the DUI charge. Fair officials are working out how to strip Warner of his winner’s trophy and prize money. (RC/WKYT Lexington) ...But no one will be able to get back his plaque at the Redneck Hall of Fame.
