Busted

Donald Andrews Jr. sells paraphernalia that could be used to smoke tobacco — or other things. He was arrested after a police informant took photographs of crack cocaine in his Scotia, N.Y., smoke shop. But Andrews and his lawyer turned the tables with video showing how the drugs got into the smoke shop: the informant brought them in with him and put them on the counter — in view of the store’s seven surveillance cameras, all mounted in plain sight. The informant fled, Andrews was released, and if the case reaches court, it may be the police on the defense side, with Andrews suing for wrongful arrest. (AC/WNYT Albany) ...Keep an eye out for new regulations on surveillance cameras.
