Christine Returns

When Gilda Bartlett, 83, stopped at the end of her driveway to check her mail, she stepped out of her car — but left it in reverse. “It started making loops, this way, to the left, counterclockwise,” said neighbor Bob Curcio. “It just kept on going larger and larger.” Then the car ran Bartlett over. “The door was wide open and it hit her, it knocked her down,” said Curcio. The car ran Bartlett over several more times before neighbors could pull her to safety. Then, they couldn’t stop the car. A firefighter tried to jump in, but got caught on the bumper and was dragged around. Police even tried a nail strip to pop the tires, but it still wouldn’t stop. Finally, an officer rammed the car with his vehicle. A family member said Bartlett had no broken bones, but that she did have a big cut on the back of her head that had to be stapled closed. (MS/WPTV West Palm Beach) ...She also has a massively bruised ego.
