Cleaning Up

“As a single mother, I had been working a variety of different jobs, including waitressing out at the strip club,” says Melissa Borrett of Lubbock, Texas. But then she got a new business idea: cleaning houses for $100 an hour. How does a maid earn that much? By wearing the same thing she wore at the strip club: lingerie, or nothing. Her Fantasy Maid Service is so successful, she has hired three other women to help. Police aren’t amused: “It’s just not allowed,” says Lubbock Police Sergeant Jonathan Stewart. At least, not without a permit as a “sexually orientated business” he says, which costs $650 per year. Borrett, 26, says there’s no sex involved. “We have a very strict no touching policy,” she says. “There is definitely nothing illegal going on, we really clean houses.” (RC/KCBD Lubbock) ...There may be clean houses in Lubbock, but there are also plenty of dirty minds.
