Do You Hear What I Hear?

Ten boys at Battlefield High School in Haymarket, Va., formed the “Christmas Sweater Club”. Each wore the wildest holiday-themed sweater they could find, and when they arrived at school they sang Christmas carols and tossed 2" candy canes to other students. School administrators put an immediate stop to the cheer. “They said the candy canes are weapons because you can sharpen them with your mouth and stab people with them,” said Skylar Torbett, a junior, who added that no one tried to use the candy as a weapon. “They said, ‘...maliciously maim students with the intent to injure’,” confirmed a perplexed Zakk Rhine, also a junior. “I don’t think any of us here intentionally meant to injure anyone, or did.” Still, administrators gave each of the boys detention and cleaning duties. (RC/WUSA Washington D.C.) ...You know, one has to wonder about how stable someone is if they dream up ways of using candy canes as lethal weapons.
