Do You Know What’s In That Sugar Packet?

After a Frontier Airlines flight from Phoenix, Ariz., to Milwaukee, Wisc., a flight attendant spotted a “suspicious substance” on the plane, and called in the Milwaukee Fire Department’s Hazardous Materials Unit. According to Frontier spokesman Peter Kowalchuk, the white powder was found on a diaper changing counter in a lavatory, in a dotted pattern as if it had been shaken out of a dispenser. A dirty diaper was found in the waste bin. Not surprisingly, the substance turned out to be baby powder. “We contacted the Transportation Safety Administration out of an abundance of caution,” Kowalchuk explained.
