Dogged Determination

When Rodney McGee got a traffic citation charging him with failing to use his turn signal, he demanded a court trial. When his case was called, he asked for a continuation because not all witnesses were present. “I demand Officer Azor K9 be present,” he told the judge. But sure enough, the citing officer, Charlotte County (Fla.) Deputy Franko, had brought his police dog with him to court, and the canine trotted up behind McGee. “They told me they weren’t going to allow him,” a perplexed McGee said. McGee lost his case, and was fined $300. It was not noted if the dog was asked to testify. (RC/WINK Ft. Myers) ...On the street, he didn’t blink. In court, he did.
