Troopers from the Illinois State Police swarmed the Kennedy Expressway to target people texting while driving. They ended up giving out 135 tickets for “distracted driving,” which carry a $120 fine, even though they posted signs warning of the operation. But one man was let off with a warning: he wasn’t texting while driving, but rather shaving. “He was trying to multitask,” said State Police Lt. David Byrd. “At least it was an electric shaver and not a bowl of water and shaving cream.” (RC/Chicago Sun-Times) ...And by getting off with just a warning, he didn’t work himself up into a lather.
