Get the Papers, Then Get in the Papers

When a newspaper delivery truck driver went into an Apple Valley, Minn., store to drop off papers, Garrett Hurlbut, 23, allegedly jumped into the truck and drove off. Police later found the truck about 1-1/2 miles away and Hurlbut nearby. His blood alcohol concentration was measured at 0.198 percent — more than twice the legal limit. According to police, he “stated that he jumped or fell from the truck,” and “said he was running from zombies.” He allegedly told the police he took the truck because he was “afraid he was being chased.” He was charged with stealing a motor vehicle.
