Government Heroism

More than 20 police vehicles and a Dallas, Texas, SWAT team went to the apartment building a woman had fled with injuries. Two schools went into lockdown; there were armed personnel vehicles, ambulances, fire trucks, and an incident command post. Media helicopters were urged to back off. “Do what’s right. We are not going away!” an officer wielding a loudspeaker shouted at the apartment door. But the suspects, believed to be armed and possibly to have a teenager with them, did not emerge. The standoff continued for six hours. Finally, police burst into the apartment. It was empty. (AC/WFAA Dallas) ...Except for the crew from Candid Camera.
