Hair of the Dog

Police responded at 4:00 a.m. to a home in Lake in the Hills, Ill., after neighbors reported loud screaming and pounding. Sgt. Mike Smith said that Analise Garner, 19, had returned home drunk, had scratched and hit her 37-year-old mother in the face, and bit her hand. She was charged with underaged drinking, domestic battery, and animal cruelty. The last charge came from the three bite marks found on the back of the family’s 80-pound English bulldog. “The bulldog finally did bite her back in self-defense,” Smith said. “There were no charges against the dog.” (MS/Chicago Tribune) ...Sounds like he was taking a bite out of crime.
