Harmless Too

“It happens a couple of times every summer,” says Jay Hallett, a sheriff’s deputy in Penobscot County, Maine. But “it” happened twice in one day: Stephen Thibodeau, 58, was seen in his front yard, inadequately attired. “His buttocks were definitely exposed,” Hallett said. “He was wiggling them at us when we pulled in.” Hallett observed a small bonfire and a yard adorned with empty beer cans. But Hallett merely “warned him to keep his clothes on.” On the second trip, Hallett gave Thibodeau a more formal warning for disorderly conduct. Despite the regularity of the incidents, Thibodeau was only jailed once: when he was caught in the buff, posing like a bodybuilder. He served three days. Since then, Thibodeau has been a bit more mellow. “A lot of times he’s on the roof,” Hallett says, but “he’s pretty harmless for the most part.” (AC/Bangor Daily News) ...His wife is no dummy, though: she split.
