I ... Am Not ... an Animal!

Stephen M. Comrie, 20, was invited to a midnight backyard bonfire in Manlius, N.Y. As he approached he saw the group and decided to play a prank: he made “animal noises” from the woods behind the house to frighten his friends. After 5-10 minutes of this, one of the partygoers pulled out a shotgun and began shooting at the “animals” in the dark. When Comrie started screaming, the alleged shooter, Jeremy J. Messina, 21, ceased fire, but had already pumped out “three or four” shots, police say. Comrie was hit in the face, arm, chest, and leg, and was treated at a hospital and released. Messina was charged with reckless endangerment. (RC/Syracuse Post-Standard) ...He did, at least, succeed at scaring them.
