I Have an Alibi

While investigating a robbery in a Duluth, Minn., residence, police determined that the victim’s credit card had been used by the resident of a nearby house. They executed a search warrant at the home of Tommy Morgan, 27, and found the victim’s jewelry, purses, and phone inside. When officers returned the next day to arrest Morgan, he claimed he couldn’t have committed the robbery because he was out of town at the time. Investigators had already placed him at the scene of the crime, though — Morgan wears a GPS ankle bracelet as a condition of his release for other pending robbery charges. Morgan had allegedly cut off the bracelet the day after the robbery.
