I’ll Be Back

According to police, Eric Steffey, 24, entered a Franklin, Ind., convenience store at 4:00 one afternoon and told the clerk “he was going to come back and rob the gas station.” Police stationed a patrol car outside the store to watch for Steffey. The officer “must have glanced away and didn’t see it. It was such a short time,” Lt. Kerry Atwood said — the officer missed the robbery at 7:00 that evening. “From the time he appeared to the time he disappeared, it was 10 seconds.” By the time officers could respond, Steffey had fled on foot, but police were able to catch him about two hours later. He was charged with armed robbery. (MS/Indianapolis Star) ...Hopefully he won’t be out of there in 10 seconds.
