I’m Telling!

Harold Lee Patterson Jr, 52, was arrested in Waterloo, Iowa, after calling 911 to report that a woman in his house was wearing lipstick. He was arrested for making a false report to law enforcement; police said he had been drinking. Meanwhile, Doyle Hardwick, 57, was arrested in Wesley Chapel, Fla., after calling 911 because his wife “wouldn’t let him look at Facebook peacefully.” Hardwick told a sheriff’s deputy he had given his wife, Julie, eight beers to make her sleepy; he only had four, himself. “He wanted me to make his wife not sit next to him,” the deputy reported, “and go to bed like she was supposed to.” Hardwick told the deputy he “just wanted someone to make my wife do what I wanted her to do,” but instead the deputy arrested him for misusing 911. He pleaded no contest to the charge and was jailed for 60 days — because it was his second offense. (RC/Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier, Tampa Bay Times) ...You know, if people would just realize it’s not their job to control someone else, cops might actually be able to work on some real problems.
