iDumb Criminals

When a woman left her iPad in a Family Dollar store in East Naples, Fla., she did what most people would do: she told the store manager it was missing. According to police reports, the manager, Veronica Damaso, 23, did what most store managers would do: she told her that they didn’t find it, and aren’t responsible for lost or stolen items in the store. The woman left her name and number, but thought Damaso was acting suspiciously, so she asked Collier County deputies to help. Damaso became nervous when deputies asked for store security camera tapes. Then, when they told her the iPad’s GPS would help them track it down, she confessed to having the missing tablet. She was then arrested on a felony grand theft charge. (MS/Naples Daily News) ...I’m pretty sure you’re responsible for lost or stolen items when you actually steal them.
