In the Pocket

An unidentified Greene County, Ark., man told police he got a call from his former employer — a call his ex-boss never intended to make. “I don’t care if you have to burn his house to the ground with him in it,” police say the man heard Larry Barnett tell a hitman. Worse, the man realized the target of the hit was himself, whom Barnett had apparently pocket-dialed while talking to the hitman. Investigators say Barnett, a Jonesboro car dealer, owed him money. While the target was visiting police to file a report, someone broke into his home and tampered with his gas stove. Before the accidental phone call, Jonesboro police and the Secret Service were already investigating Barnett for allegedly defrauding his bank. He has been charged with conspiracy to commit capital murder. (AC/KAIT Jonesboro) ...I hope the bankers’ phone numbers are in his cell phone too.
