Injustice, Corrected

“I’ve walked past people four or five abreast. Why only give him a ticket?” was Chris Herda’s response to his friend’s C$113 (US$105) ticket in Winnipeg, Man., Canada, for walking on the sidewalk “more than two abreast.” Frustrated with the injustice, Herda took a picture of the ticket and posted it on Facebook, where it was shared over 1,800 times. “I hope everyone sees it,” said Herda. “This is a farce. That’s what it is.” Winnipeg police indicated the charges were wrong and cancelled the ticket — replacing it with another “correcting” the charge to a liquor offense. (MS/CTV) ...“Don’t walk in front of me, for I may not follow. Don’t walk behind me, for I may not lead. Don’t walk beside me, or you’ll have to answer to the cops.”
