It’s Only a Movie

Carlo Frank Settecase, 21, of Skokie, Ill., was dressed in a Ninja-like outfit as he casually strolled through Nordstrom’s department store after it closed, stealing more than $30,000 worth of merchandise, police said. He worked in the store as a switchboard operator during the day, but after the store had closed and locked up, he emerged from a hiding place and spent most of the night walking through the store dressed as a Ninja, allegedly helping himself to merchandise. When confronted by police with surveillance camera evidence, Settecase confessed, and said that criminal activity portrayed in the TV shows The Sopranos, Dexter, and Breaking Bad influenced him because the criminals on those shows always got away with it. (JW/Skokie Tribune) ...Apparently he hasn’t seen Bonnie and Clyde yet.
