Just Call it Intuition

A man stepped into the Indiana State Police post in Lowell and told the sergeant on duty that he thought he was wanted. The sergeant asked why he thought so, and the man held up his hands to show he was handcuffed; the chain between them was cut. “Sometimes people think that police are looking for them when we’re actually not,” said Sgt. Alan Jamerson. But “if someone walks in with handcuffs on their wrists, there is a good chance we are looking for them.” Sure enough, Zachary A. Keilman, 18, had been arrested for underage drinking the night before, and had escaped. When he realized he had left his identification in the back of the patrol car he had fled, he decided to turn himself in. State police officers applied a fresh set of handcuffs and booked Keilman for escape. (RC/Chicago Sun-Times) ...In this case, the police would have been happy to make a house call.
