No Parking

Central Parking, which has 2,500 parking facilities and 1.2 million parking spaces nationally, does not have enough parking at their Nashville, Tenn., headquarters to support their newly expanded staff. Now, frustrated nearby residents are complaining as employees park in their neighborhoods, blocking driveways and causing unnecessary congestion. “They just don’t care,” said one neighbor, who lives closest to Central Parking’s headquarters. “The people who park here are rude and mean.” Residents point out cars parked in front of fire hydrants and say that the employees will even move garbage cans onto the sidewalk on trash day, causing trash to go uncollected. “It’s become a battle between their employees and us,” said another resident. “Central Parking doesn’t want to spend any money to help the employees find parking, so they’re letting us fight it out.” Company officials say they have “made a substantial investment in the Nashville community by adding nearly 100 new jobs to the existing workforce,” but “this has put pressure on available parking.” (MS/Nashville Tennessean) ...Heres a novel idea: they could build a parking facility.
