No Place to Hide

A security officer at a Kmart in Naples, Fla., confronted a man and a woman who were allegedly shoplifting. With the jig up, the man shouted, “Run, ma! Run!” And they did, taking printer cartridges, a watch, and a memory stick, police say. It was, however, easy to identify the suspects: Cory L. Dalton, 19, and his mother, Lori Lynn Larocque, 38, had made $13 worth of purchases before fleeing. They left their purchased items behind — as well as Larocque’s debit card. Police simply got the address associated with the card, went to their home, and arrested them. (RC/Naples News) ...And denied Kmart’s request to put “just one more charge” on the card.
