Nonsentient

Michael Selleneit, 53, admits he shot his Centerville, Utah, neighbor, Tony Pierce, 41, but he insists he did so in self defense. Pierce was shot in the back and was hospitalized in critical condition; he is expected to survive. Selleneit says Pierce had been “telepathically threatening” him, the police report notes, and “also claimed that Pierce had telepathically raped his wife on many occasions.” He had reported these “telepathic crimes” to police, but “Centerville Police has never found any evidence to indicate that these allegations were true,” said a police investigator. Selleneit has been charged with attempted murder and, because he is a felon, unlawful weapon possession.
