Not So Kosher

U.K.-based budget airline EasyJet was proud of its newly introduced route from Tel Aviv, Israel, to London, England, promising an in-flight menu featuring kosher foods. So Victor Kaufman, 25, was stunned when his meal choices were announced: ham melts or bacon baguettes. “It was a little insensitive,” he said. “It is not just Jewish passengers who do not eat pork but Muslim ones, too.” None of the passengers who followed non-pork diets could eat for the entire 4-1/2 hour flight. “It appears that a mistake was made on this flight,” an EasyJet spokeswoman said, “and that incorrect food canisters were loaded.” (MS/WNYW New York) ...On the menu for the new flights from India: your choice of steak or burgers.
