Not Very Good at This

Troy F. Mitchell, 47, was out of prison on supervised release when he handed a note to a teller at the Valley First Credit Union in Modesto, Calif., demanding $5,000 in cash. While the teller was getting the money, another teller walked by and said, “Hi, Troy.” Mitchell acknowledged the greeting and left with the $5,000. The second teller recognized Mitchell from when he’d applied for a loan — and the application file included a copy of his drivers license. Before he could be arrested, though, Mitchell struck again, handing a note to a teller at a different bank demanding $100 bills. That time he got $5,100. Mitchell left that note behind: it was written on the back of his pay stub, which included his current address. Confronted with the evidence, Mitchell pleaded guilty to two counts of bank robbery. (MS/Stockton Record) ...Bye, Troy.
