Nyah Nyah— Oh II

When Wanda Lee Ann Podgurski, 60, was convicted of 29 felony counts related to a million-dollar insurance fraud scheme, she fled before sentencing. She was sentenced in absentia to 20-1/3 years in prison. While on the lam, Podgurski registered a Twitter account, and “followed” just one person on the service: District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis. She then “tweeted” to Dumanis, “Catch me if you can.” Dumanis alerted the Computer and Technology Crime High-Tech Response Team of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, who quickly traced the account to Mexico. By then, Podgurski had “followed” dozens of law enforcement agencies, and followed up by tweeting, “Help find me before I con anyone else.” U.S. Marshals simply went to the provided address in Mexico and arrested Podgurski, and brought her back to serve her prison sentence. (RC/KCAL Los Angeles) ...Even getting caught and convicted just wasn’t enough to convince her she wasn’t as smart as she thought.
