Obliviocy? Obviously!

Ricardo Felix, 31, of Phoenix, Ariz., was arrested on charges of grand theft auto and insurance fraud after allegedly falsely reporting his vehicle as stolen. According to the San Bernardino County (Calif.) Sheriff’s office, Felix had conspired to hide his vehicle at a family member’s house, then reported it stolen. The plan worked — until the anti-theft tracking system that Felix paid for as a special option was activated by police, and notified officers where it was. Investigation then revealed the conspiracy and Felix was arrested. According to a sheriff’s spokesman, Felix said he was unaware that the car was equipped with a tracking system. (MS/Victorville Daily Press) ...Looks like the car was smarter than the criminal.
