Obliviot of the Week #926

Lisha Lavella Underwood, 37, has been arrested after allegedly stealing a company check, altering it, and then cashing it at a gas station in Houston, Texas. She was easily caught, considering that the gas station clerk wouldn’t cash the check unless she showed him her driver’s license — and he made a photocopy of it, which he provided to investigators. The check had been made out for $25,439.26, and she had altered it to be in the amount of $8,439.26. (RC/Houston Chronicle) ...Let me guess: you’re new at this crime thing, aren’t you?
