Peter, Meet Paul

Sean Collins, 28, approached a teller in a credit union in Glasgow, Scotland, and demanded money. His weapon: an empty tuna can. The teller responded: “Are you having a laugh?” Collins pointed to some wire on the can and told her it was a bomb, so she handed over 1,400 pounds (US$2,300). When caught, Collins explained he was desperate for cash: he had lost his job after being convicted of assault, and needed money to comply with court orders to pay his victim 2,000 pounds (US$3,300) in compensation.
