Pick On Someone Your Own Size

Javier Dwayne Rouse, 33, admitted to police in Mesa, Ariz., that he did punch the kid. The 6-year-old boy at a daycare where his girlfriend’s son attends called the son “an unacceptable name,” Rouse complained, and “he didn’t think he punched the child hard like an adult would be hit,” the resulting police report says. A security camera video tells the real story: “On the video the child flies approximately four feet in the air and lands directly on his buttocks and slides up to wall,” the report says. The boy apparently wasn’t seriously injured, but after officers viewed the video evidence, Rouse was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a vulnerable child. (RC/Arizona Republic) ...When a young child is being attacked by an adult, aren’t they all vulnerable?
