Pissed

The city of Siesta Key, Fla., knew something was up: a man was offering a house to rent, and advertising that it had 12 bedrooms. City records showed it had just five, so it sent a code inspector to check things out. Craig Siegel, 44, allegedly had collected $53,000 in deposits and rent payments for the house from 19 people, all of whom wanted refunds after learning what he was offering didn’t match advertisements. The code inspector found there were some modifications done without a permit, and Siegel was ordered to dismantle the remodeling. His response was to allegedly dump a bucket of urine on the inspector on his next visit. Siegel has been charged with at least 20 felonies, including Scheme to Defraud, and Battery on a Code Inspector. (RC/WWSB Sarasota) ...In other news, things are getting so bad in Florida that there’s a specific law about Battery on a Code Inspector.
