Popping Pop

“He was doing some parental discipline,” said Mason County (Wash.) Sheriff’s Detective William Adam. “She was doing something he didn’t approve of.” So the unnamed man took his 15-year-old daughter’s cell phone away from her. Her response was to pick up her compound bow, which she uses for hunting deer, and shoot him. She apparently also took back her phone: the 35-year-old man begged her to let him call 911, but she refused to let him use her phone. He crawled to a window, climbed out, crawled to his car, and drove a third of a mile to the nearest neighbors, who called for help. The man was airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. By then the girl had run in to the woods, taking the bow and “at least” 35 arrows for it; a SWAT team surrounded her. She was taken into custody without further incident. (JW/Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Seattle Times) ...Oddly, she was bailed out by Dick Cheney.
