Revenge of the Wildlife

Pennsylvania Troopers are trying to figure out what happened in a crash that pitted a motorcyclist against a deer in Salem Township. Both the deer and the biker were dead, but the crash didn’t kill the biker: when troopers lifted the bike off of him, they found the biker had a pistol — and had been shot in the back of the head. “I’ve never seen an accident like this,” said Chief Deputy Coroner Paul Cycak, who explained that the biker’s injuries would have been painful, but not fatal. He thought it was unlikely the biker could have shot himself in the back of his head, but ruled it a suicide anyway. (RC/Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, WTAE Pittsburgh) ...Anonymous tip for the coroner: check the gun for hoofprints.
