Revolving Door II

When Christopher M. Miller, 40, was released from the South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton, N.J., after a 15-year stint for robbery, it took him overnight to travel the 82 miles to the Stride Rite shoe store in Toms River. Not, apparently, to get something more comfortable than his prison-issue shoes, but allegedly to rob the place — the exact same store he robbed that resulted in his prison sentence. He tapped the register for $389 and fled, but was quickly apprehended by an officer who tracked him down with a police dog. The money and the clerks’ cell phones were recovered, and Miller was booked into jail on $100,000 bond. (RC/Newark Star-Ledger) ...The most surprising part: after 15 years, that store was still there.
