Sad Sack

An Okeechobee, Fla., man had attempted to rob a bank but ended up with a change of plans. Joseph Alan Price, 61, allegedly gave the teller a note in which he had instructed her to put cash into a bag. She told Price, who didn’t seem to be armed, that she didn’t have a bag to put the cash in. Price again pointed to the note, and she insisted that she had no bag for the cash. So Price was forced to abandon the robbery and leave with no money at all. He grabbed the bicycle he had stashed in the nearby woods, and rode away. Price was arrested within minutes. “A good description was given by bank personnel,” said Sheriff Paul May, “and the officer was in the right place and the suspect is in jail, the right place for him.” (JW/Treasure Coast Palm) ...Tellers are relieved Price was bagged so quickly.
