She Already Used Up the Available “My Grandmother Died” Excuses

It was time for Lucina Marquez Gayosso, 23, to graduate from the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez in Chihuahua, Mexico. Her mother attended the graduation, but never saw her. When her mother called for an explanation, Marquez said she had been kidnaped at gunpoint on her way to the ceremonies. Police swarmed the area and found the woman within hours, and she told them she had just been released unharmed because they got the wrong person. Suspicious investigators kept probing, and Marquez finally admitted that she had been failing her courses in social work, and made up the story to cover up her failure to graduate. (RC/El Paso Times) ...And there you have it: independent confirmation that she was too stupid to pass.
