So, Why Does He Still Live There?

Luis Perez, 18, of Stamford, Conn., and his 54-year-old mother disagreed on housekeeping etiquette. According to mom, she leaves their home clean and orderly each day before working 12 hours as a nanny. But when she returns, she says, the house is a mess, and Perez invites people over she doesn’t know. Finally, she confronted her son and, she later told police, he swore at her. When she threatened to call the police, he swore some more and said he didn’t care. So, she made good on her threat. When officers arrived, they found Perez in his bed talking on his cell phone, wearing no pants. When they asked him to come downstairs, he refused to comply, telling the police they were invading his privacy and breaking the law by entering his room. According to Sgt. Simon Blanc, Perez said he was “in his drawers” and “has rights.” The officers prevailed, however, and as they escorted him out in handcuffs, he asked for a second chance and to be released, Blanc said. (MS/Stamford Advocate) ...He fought the law and Mom won.
