Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word

A woman stopped in at a restaurant in Salt Lake City, Utah, and explained to a waitress that her father had dined there in 1941, but ran out without paying his $1 tab. The woman said her father was 10 years old at the time, and had been wracked with guilt since. She handed the waitress $5 — for the tab plus interest — and conveyed her father’s apologies.
