Steaaaaak

“If there’s a zombie apocalypse, I want to stay away from this girl,” said Danny Lee, co-owner of the Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo, Texas. The “girl” in question, Molly Schuyler, who was listed at 5-foot-7 and 125 pounds in a January competition, set a speed record by devouring a 72-ounce steak, complete with a baked potato, shrimp, salad, and a roll, in less than five minutes. Then she ate another one. “The second one, I wasn’t really going for time,” Schuyler said. “I had to do it in under an hour, so I was fine.” It took her about 10 minutes. Schuyler isn’t satisfied, though: she wants to come back and polish off three. Lee originally thought Schuyler’s interest in the one-hour steak challenge was “a hoax.” (AC/Amarillo Globe News) ...Big Miss Steak.
Author’s Note: Not surprisingly, Schuyler is a “professional” competitive eater. In February 2018, she won Wing Bowl 26 in Philadelphia, Pa., eating 501 wings — a Wing Bowl record.
