Better Off in School?

When police in Savannah, Ga., received a bomb threat for a middle school, they didn’t rush to the school, they went to the origin of the call: it came in on 911, which instantly traced it to an apartment building. When officers arrived they found the apartment had been broken into, and they spotted three teenagers walking away with their arms loaded down with video game consoles, electronics and jewelry. When they spotted the cops they ran, but a 17- and a 14-year-old were quickly caught. “Clearly that was not the brightest plan,” a police spokesman said. “This goes right to the heart of truancy,” he added. “This indicates they would have been better off in school.” (RC/Savannah Morning Journal) ...Where they can learn better methods of avoiding capture.
